Scratch and Peck Feeds are a special blend of cracked organic grains, organic flax meal, and select vitamins and minerals sourced from North American farms. Similar to Naturally Free Organic Starter and Grower, our Naturally Free Organic Layer Feed 18% contains an optimum level of protein for Stage Three feeding.

This Stage Three feed is appropriate for laying hens ages 20+ weeks that may require extra protein to support increased egg production during the molting season. The higher levels of calcium found in this blend help to produce stronger eggshells.

Naturally Free Organic Layer Feed 18% may contain more fines than our 16% feeds due to the extra macronutrients. For this reason, fermenting this feed, while not required, is a win-win solution to more nutrients for the animals using it.
